On February 2, 2007 SPFPA International Organizing Director Steve Maritas has appointed an interim SPFPA Executive Board now known as SPFPA Local 533 for Security Police Professionals working for AT Systems in Long Island, New York.

On January 24, 2007 the SPFPA International had filed an election with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in Brooklyn, New York to represent the 60 plus currency handlers working for AT Systems in their Central Islip location.

The SPFPA has already begun an organizing drive of
AT System employees working at both their Long Island City and Elizabeth New Jersey locations.
